Travel Terms & Conditions
Pickup
Passengers are to be waiting at their pick up location 10 mins prior to the booked time. Any passengers not at the pickup location at the booked time will not be contacted and it will be assumed that they have cancelled and will not get a refund. If a passenger might be late for a booked pickup then the office will need to be notified to see if the bus can wait. The bus will not wait for more than 10 minutes but only if the office has been contacted first.
Road and Weather Conditions may alter timings and may also lead to the service being cancelled in extreme circumstances for the safety and comfort of our passengers.
Cairns Cooktown Express reserves the right to refuse entry to any passenger.
- Alcohol is not allowed to be consumed on the bus.
- Food is not to be consumed on the bus.
- Smoking is not allowed on the bus.
Luggage
Passengers can carry a bag with them. Any large luggage or other bulky items will incur an extra booking fee of $30 per item.
Lost Property
Any lost property will be kept in the office of Cairns Bus Charters and can be collected by the customer. Any missing lost property is not the responsibility of Cairns Bus Charters.
Discounted Fares
Cairns Cooktown Express offers discounted fares for Concession Card holders, Students and Children. Passengers need to show the driver their concession or student card to receive the discounted rate. If this cannot be produced then the full fare applies.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be made by phoning the Cairns Cooktown Express office on (07) 40492255. Any cancellations within 24 hours will forfeit any money paid and not be entitled to any refund. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours of travel time will not have any cancellation fees.
There will be no refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of travel.
Credit Card Surcharges and Fees
Cairns Bus Charters doesn’t have any additional credit card surcharges or fees. The advertised price on the website is what you pay.
